You do not need to have whole underwear made out of activated charcoal for your intestinal gas problems. A simple small cloth pad placed at the source of the gas is all you need. (This is the most economical and comfortable)

Activated Charcoal is actually very expensive to manufacture and put in a cloth form. It does not last forever also. It acutally gets filled up with odor molecules and then does not work to absorb anymore.

Underwear made out of plastic can be very HOT and make a swishy noise when you walk. Also when the elastic around the legs and waist gets loose, it allows gas to escape because it is the path of least resistance. Then that is a failure and others can smell the odor.
